James Clerk Maxwell was born on June 13, 1831, in Scotland. From a very young age, he was curious about how the world worked and loved asking questions.

As a child, James enjoyed drawing shapes, playing with strings, and solving puzzles. He was especially interested in geometry, which is the study of shapes and space.
