Privacy at MinuteBio

Information involved

Depending on the page you visit, technical information may include:

• IP address and request identifiers used for security, delivery, and log analysis;
• approximate city and country supplied by Cloudflare when available;
• browser, device, and language information;
• pages viewed, referring page, engagement duration, and error information;
• advertising information such as device identifiers, pages visited, and ad interactions;
• reading-display preferences stored on this device.

MinuteBio does not require a reader to provide a name, birth date, or profile.

How information is used

Essential technical data supports security, page delivery, error diagnosis, and requested features. Limited usage information helps us understand which pages work well and where the experience needs improvement.

MinuteBio collects anonymous analytics about page views and biography interactions. These analytics do not use cookies or a persistent browser identifier, and we do not combine them with advertising profiles.

Hosting, security, analytics, and advertising providers may process data to perform those services. MinuteBio does not directly sell personal information for money, although some privacy laws may define personalized advertising as “sharing.”

Advertising

MinuteBio uses Google AdSense to help fund the site. Third-party vendors, including Google and its advertising partners, may use cookies and similar technologies to select, deliver, measure, and protect ads. Where permitted and based on your choices, ads may be personalized using visits to MinuteBio or other websites.

Browser storage

Browser storage remembers reading-display preferences and dismissed site announcements. Those preferences stay in the browser unless a separate service is explicitly described. Anonymous analytics does not use cookies, local storage, or session storage. Google AdSense and its partners may use cookies, local storage, and device identifiers for advertising.

Children and families

The biography experience is written for young readers, but it does not ask children to make accounts or submit personal profiles. A parent or guardian who believes a child sent personal information to MinuteBio can contact us to request review or deletion.

Your controls

• Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland can consent, refuse, or manage advertising through Google's regional privacy message.
• Use “Privacy & ad settings” in the site footer to revisit available advertising choices.
• Use Google Ads Settings to control personalized ads associated with your browser or Google account.
• Use browser controls to delete locally stored site preferences.
• Email us to ask a privacy question or request access, correction, or deletion.

Retention and security

Anonymous analytics may be retained for up to 13 months. Operational logs used for security, troubleshooting, and log analysis may include IP addresses and request identifiers and are retained for up to 30 days. Other service data is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for security, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can promise absolute security. Advertising data is retained under Google and its advertising partners' policies.
