Early Life
Alexander the Great was born in 356 BCE in a place called Macedonia, which was part of the ancient Greek world. His father was King Philip II of Macedon, and his mother was Queen Olympias. From a young age, Alexander was curious, brave, and eager to learn.
Alexander had a famous teacher named Aristotle, one of the greatest thinkers in history. Aristotle taught him subjects such as science, reading, philosophy, and nature. This love of learning stayed with Alexander his whole life.
