Early Life

Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior was born on February 5, 1992, in Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil. From a very young age, Neymar loved playing soccer. He often played barefoot in the streets and small courts near his home, learning quick moves and tricks.

His father, who was also a soccer player, noticed Neymar’s talent right away. He became Neymar’s coach and biggest supporter. When Neymar was still a child, his family moved to help him join better soccer teams.

Growing Up with Soccer

Neymar joined the youth academy of Santos FC when he was only 11 years old. Santos is a famous Brazilian soccer club that once had another legend, Pelé. Neymar trained hard every day and stood out because of his speed, balance, and creativity.

At just 17 years old, Neymar started playing for Santos’ main team. Fans were amazed by his fancy footwork and powerful goals. He helped Santos win important championships and became a national hero in Brazil.

Becoming a World Star

In 2013, Neymar moved to Europe to play for FC Barcelona in Spain. There, he played alongside other great players and learned even more about teamwork. Together, they won many trophies, including the UEFA Champions League.

After his time in Spain, Neymar played for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in France, where he became one of the club’s biggest stars and scored many memorable goals. In 2023, he moved to Al-Hilal, a professional soccer club in Saudi Arabia, continuing his international career.
