Early Life

James Buchanan was born on April 23, 1791, in Cove Gap, a small town in Pennsylvania. He grew up in a large family with many brothers and sisters and learned the value of hard work from a young age. His parents wanted him to get a good education, so they encouraged him to study and do his best.
