Early Life

Amelia Earhart was born in 1897 in Kansas, United States. As a child, she loved adventure and trying new things. She climbed trees, played sports, and was curious about how the world worked.

Amelia did not grow up dreaming of being a pilot because airplanes were very new back then. Her interest in flying began when she saw her first airplane at a fair. At the time, she thought it did not look very exciting.
