Early Life

Vincent van Gogh was born in 1853 in a small town in the Netherlands. As a child, he was quiet and thoughtful, and he loved nature. He enjoyed long walks where he could look at fields, trees, and the sky.

Vincent did not start painting seriously until he was in his late twenties. Before that, he tried many different jobs, including working in art shops and teaching. Even when things were hard, he kept searching for something he loved to do.

Discovering Art

When Vincent began to paint, he practiced every day. He drew people, houses, flowers, and farms. He believed art should show real life and real feelings.

Friendship and Support

One of the most important people in Vincent’s life was his brother Theo. Theo believed in Vincent’s talent and encouraged him to keep painting. The brothers wrote many letters to each other, which help us understand Vincent’s thoughts and dreams today.

Legacy

Vincent van Gogh died in 1890 when he was only 37 years old. After his death, people began to see how special his art was. Today, he is one of the most famous artists in the world.
