Early Life

Muhammad was born around the year 570 in the city of Mecca. As a child, he lost both of his parents and was cared for by relatives. Even when life was hard, people noticed that he was kind, patient, and fair.

As he grew up, Muhammad worked as a merchant, traveling with trade caravans. People trusted him because he was honest and kept his promises. Because of this, many called him **Al-Amin**, which means “the Trustworthy.”

Muhammad liked to spend time thinking quietly and helping others. He cared about the poor and believed people should treat each other with respect. He often wondered how people could live more peacefully and fairly together.

When Muhammad was about 40 years old, he began receiving messages that Muslims believe came from God. These messages taught that there is one God, that people should pray, help those in need, and be kind to their families and neighbors.
