Stephen Curry was born on March 14, 1988, in Akron, Ohio, but he grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. Basketball was part of his life from the very beginning. His dad, Dell Curry, was a professional basketball player in the NBA.

As a kid, Stephen loved practicing basketball with his dad and brother. He was smaller than many other players his age, but he worked hard every day. Even when others doubted him, Stephen believed in himself.
