When he was six years old, his family moved to the United States so they could have more freedom and opportunities. They settled in Maryland, where Sergey quickly showed a love for math and problem-solving.
As a kid, Sergey was curious and enjoyed asking questions about how things worked. His parents encouraged him to learn, and he did very well in school. He liked puzzles, numbers, and learning new ideas.
Love for Learning
Sergey studied hard and went to college at the University of Maryland. Later, he went to Stanford University in California to study computer science. At Stanford, he met another student named Larry Page.
Sergey and Larry liked working together and sharing big ideas. They wondered if they could make it easier for people to find information on the internet, which was still new at the time.
Creating Google
In 1998, Sergey Brin and Larry Page started a company called Google. They created a special way to search the internet that showed the most helpful websites first. This made searching faster and easier for everyone.
Google began as a small project that worked out of a garage, and it quickly grew. People all over the world started using Google to learn, explore, and answer questions.
Big Achievements
As Google grew, Sergey helped lead the company that created tools like Google Maps, Google Images, and Gmail. These tools help people find places, see pictures, and send emails.
