Early Life

Johannes Brahms was born in 1833 in Hamburg, Germany. His family was not rich, but they loved music very much. Johannes showed amazing talent at a young age, especially on the piano.

His father played music to earn money, and Johannes learned by listening and practicing every day. By the time he was a child, people could already tell he was special. Music quickly became a big part of his life.

Learning Music

Johannes worked very hard to become a great musician. He studied piano, music theory, and how to write his own songs. He practiced for many hours each day, even when it was difficult.

As a teenager, he began performing in public to help support his family. These early performances helped him become confident and strong as a pianist.

Becoming Famous

When Brahms was a young man, he met other famous musicians who believed in his talent. One of them was Robert Schumann, who said Johannes would become a great composer. This encouragement helped Brahms believe in himself.

He moved to different cities and continued writing music. People began to notice how powerful, emotional, and beautiful his music was.

Amazing Achievements

Johannes Brahms wrote many kinds of music, including symphonies, piano pieces, songs, and music for orchestras. His music often sounded serious but also warm and comforting.

One of his most famous works is "Brahms’ Lullaby," a gentle song that parents still sing to babies today. He also wrote four symphonies that are performed all around the world.

His Personality

Brahms was a quiet and thoughtful person. He cared deeply about his work and wanted every note to be just right. Even though he was famous, he lived a simple life and loved long walks and being in nature. He is remembered as one of the masters of classical music.
