Early Life

Jet Li was born on April 26, 1963, in Beijing, China. His real name is Li Lianjie. When Jet Li was very young, he joined a sports school where he learned wushu, a Chinese martial art that mixes strength, balance, and graceful movements.

He worked very hard and practiced every day. Even as a child, his teachers noticed that he was fast, focused, and very talented. By the time he was 11 years old, Jet Li was already winning national competitions.
