Early Life

Burna Boy was born as Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu on July 2, 1991, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. He grew up in a family that loved music, so songs and rhythms were always around him.

His grandfather once managed the famous Nigerian musician Fela Kuti, which inspired Burna Boy to dream big. As a child, he enjoyed listening to many kinds of music and learning how sounds can tell stories.
